About

Our Mission

Masterplans are often designed in lengthy, costly, and intransparent processes. But how do you know that they will result in great places for people?

At L+H Urban it is our mission to create great places for users: places that have a sense of safety, inclusiveness, comfort and enjoyment. We ensure that masterplans reach their target outcomes.

The success of a place is the direct result of the level of interaction people have with the urban landscape and the built environment. Our process is based on in-depth analysis, observation, and co-creation with future users. We back ourselves through decades-long practice in masterplanning and urban design.

Our design methodology is unique. It is informed through urban data that stems from urban users. By analysing how users interact with urban space, we can review, refine and provide another perspective on conceptual masterplans and help adapt plans in an agile manner.

We build products for the design of cities and places, as we believe that the way we design cities - and the tools we use - affect outcomes. Our product tools deliver an evidence-based, user-experience focused urban design.

We involve users during the design stage to create places that are right for the people that will live there. We also partner with organisations that are involved in generating new spaces to create the best masterplan and urban design framework possible.

About the Founders

Anne and Ekaterina set up L+H Urban to address the need for a more evidence-based and user-centric design of cities and places.

Situated between a design consultancy and a tech product startup, L+H Urban's mission is to help create better places through using better design tools, better analysis methods, and closer engagement with end-users.
